Can’t think of something to doodle? - Pick an animal and select a fun activity you did as a child.
Not sure if that’s how Mike came up with this idea - but when he sent me his daily doodle earlier this evening (yes, we share our daily doodles) - I thought that might be how he did it. Here it is - a doodle of the most extreme game you will ever see: Frog Dodge Ball.
People often ask us how we get our ideas and we usually boil it down to such a simple equation - just think of something to draw (an animal, an object, a place - anything) and then, if it’s an animal, give it an action -- if it’s an object, give it a face and an emotion. If it’s a place, add a character that doesn't belong in that space and give that character an action or an emotion.
It’s surprisingly easy, if you just give it a try. If it’s in your very own “My Daily Doodle Book” - then no-one will see it but you - so don’t have to feel weird about it - unless you decide to post it up on a blog every day - like we’re doing.
Oh, and speaking of posting our doodles on a blog - this is mine for the day - which was a busy day because it was Kevin’s birthday today and I cooked Rigatoni Bolognese for the family - with Carvel ice cream cake, of course.
What did you Doodle today?
