My favorite animal is a giraffe - I love drawing them and I love making papiér-mache sculptures of them and I love it when kids draw giraffes. Yesterday (March 4) I asked the kids at the shop to doodle something in my daily doodle book - and they sketched out some giraffes. The giraffe in this image (below) was doodled yesterday but I added the color and the grass today - so, technically, it is still my daily doodle.
This gave me an idea - create a long vertical sketchbook and ask any/all kids that come to the shop to doodle a giraffe in the book. What an amazing book of giraffes that would be. I might just try to do this -we’ll see. Here is my collaborative doodle for the day - it’s what I am calling an Awesome Giraffe.
Oh - and check this out. Today, we had a birthday party for a child that has been coming to Little Pulp almost every week for the entire 6 years we have been here at Atlas Park - and so I created a personalized Daily Doodle book for him and his sister. I am not sure if I am going to do this again - because it was super difficult to do - but it did give me an idea to create a Mom’s Daily Doodle book, a Dad’s Daily Doodle Book, a Grandpa’s Daily Doodle Book and a Grandma’s Daily Doodle Book. Grandma was at the party today and told me that if I make a ‘Grandma’s Daily Doodle Book’ - we have a customer. So, here I go - I’m gonna give it a whirl.
