Kids Doodled their Names in my Book Today

We had a first grade class trip today from P.S. 120 (“The Flushing Dragons”) and all 30 kids came in wearing paper leprechaun hats. Toward the end of the trip, I showed them ‘My Daily Doodle Book’ and asked for any ideas on what to doodle today.

One of the adults said “Why don’t you doodle all the kids - and I roughed out a quick sketch of Justin (he was sitting right in front of me and had these cool blue glasses on). Then I looked at the clock and realized there was no way I’d be able to sketch out all these kids - there was no time. Instead, I suggested that everyone doodle their first name into my book and that I would try and tie it all together later on. I am not sure they all wrote their names - but most of them did and after a big family corn beef & cabbage dinner - I did my best to tie it all together. Check it out:

I have met and created with so many of the Flushing Dragons - and have had such a blast running school trips with those kids. Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

Happy Doodling!
